The newscasts of the Sami Radio put their emphasis on what happens in the Sami community.

In addition, we report, in Sami, on the main news concerning Finland and the world. We broadcast news that other media do not tell about.

Due to Nordic co-operation, our news network covers an area reaching from Utsjoki to Oslo. We broadcast six newscasts on weekdays: at 7.30, 8.30 and 9.30 a.m. and at 2.30, 3.30 and 4.30 p.m. News in the Inari Sami language can be heard on Thursdays at 2.00 p.m. and in the Skolt Sami language on wednesdays at 2.00 p.m.
